I interviewed with Rafael, who was very upfront about the role. They asked me to relocate to San Diego for a base pay that was below industry and area standards, with no relocation assistance. The offer wasn't competitive enough to make up for the pay and lack of relocation support, making me question the company's seriousness in hiring quality people.

I spoke with the recruiter first, then the hiring manager and another PM. They indicated a decision would be made in two weeks. After the two-week mark, I followed up with the recruiter, who said they needed an additional week. A week and a half passed with no communication, so I sent another email asking for an update, but received no reply. Basic courtesy seems to be non-existent.

It was a pretty straightforward and easy interview. They talked a lot about the G plains application, customer service etiquette, how to handle emailing and client calls, and general collaboration and communication skills. They also gave a high-level overview of their products, services, and the engineering behind them.

You'll have a quick chat, about 15 to 30 minutes, just to see if you're a good fit and can talk okay. They also want to know if you're really into the job. They'll ask about what you've done, why you want this, and how much you want to make. A recruiter or manager looks at your resume first. If you look good, they might give you a call or video chat.

  • What makes you want to apply for this specific job?
  • What's your desired salary range?
