Applied online and heard back from a recruiter about a week later for a phone screen. It was pretty standard, covering my background and the role details. The recruiter said she'd connect with the hiring manager and update me within a week. I sent a thank you note, but didn't hear back. After another week, I followed up politely, asking if they needed anything else, but still no response. Two more weeks passed, and I was really frustrated by the silence, so I sent another follow-up for an update. It's obvious they're not moving forward, but it's frustrating and disrespectful to be ignored after putting in the effort to schedule and prepare for these calls. A quick email would have been sufficient. I'm quite disappointed that a company of this caliber can't manage to follow up with candidates they've chosen to screen.

So I had 6 interviews in total. They were a mix of behavioral, technical, and a case study. The final interviews had both technical and non-technical parts. The interviewers were nice, but the questions were tough. Definitely research the company and the role before you talk to the recruiter.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

So after applying, they reached out pretty fast and it was super professional. Then I had a chat with the HR lead, and after that, the wait between interviews was a bit much, but I figured it was part of it. The whole thing went down like this: First, an interview with HR. Then, an interview with the hiring Manager, which actually turned into two meetings. After that, it was "round 1", which had three 30-minute interviews with DoorDash folks, all about specific subjects. Then for "round 2", they wanted a case study and three more subject-based interviews.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Were your Round 1 interviews subject-based, tailored to campaign management, client service, and strategic insights?
  • Did you have a case study and three additional subject-based interviews planned as 'round 2'?
