First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Domino's.
Assistant Manager
The whole process was basically walking into the restaurant and asking for the manager because I had an interview set up. Once they sat me down, they asked me some questions, and then they asked if I had any questions for them. It was a pretty fast and pretty easy interview.
- What led you to apply for this position?
- Describe a situation where you successfully resolved a conflict.
- Could you provide a brief overview of your background?
Change Manager
I had 4 interviews that were 30 minutes each, all done virtually. The whole thing moved pretty fast, and they got all the interviews done within a month. The first one was a phone screen, and then the rest were on Teams. Each person I talked to took some time to tell me about the job and then asked me about my background and what I've done.
- What's your approach when things don't go according to the plan?
Assistant Manager
The stores in the area are all franchise so even though the application process goes through corporate and they state your starting variable pay based on position applying for, the franchise stores don't have to uphold that and base pay is 14 regardless of outside (other work experience). The GM I was applied under did everything she could to stall and refuse to give me a raise despite how much I was progressing. Luckily, I ended up transferring and out the gate the GM started marking off the goals I had reached so now I have a clear goal and a good idea of how much I've improved. The interview itself wasn't set up until a month and a half after applying despite the fact they needed the help. As soon as I was accepted the GM was constantly gone and got upset when she got back from her break that another manager and I wanted to have one day a month scheduled off so we could both hang out.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Can you be flexible with your work schedule?
- Do you have prior experience in this field?
