I had a 5 hour on-site interview where I met with four different people. The questions were pretty standard software interview questions. I was given a sandwich, where I sat by myself for 1 1/2 hours eating by myself. I felt that leaving me to eat by myself for 1 1/2 hours was rude. In general the software engineers seemed to be stereotypical brogrammers : arrogant and impressed with themselves. I'll decide for myself if you are smart, telling me you turned down an offer from Google to work at DSC just shows me that you like to brag about yourself.

Standard Interview Process. First, a recruiter call that was very straightforward and nice. Then, a tech screen over the phone. I assume On-site would be next. It is not a large company so the process won't be as flushed out as say a Google/Amazon. Some interesting caveats is that this was so far the only time I had to do a screen share with my own IDE (I know a lot of ppl prefer this), but I was sort of expecting a coderpad style. I also wasn't formally rejected. I was "ghosted" this happens more than you think with a phone screen this isn't terrible. On-site (candidate usually has to take PTO) is where that would have crossed a line.

Got a message from a recruiter on a networking site and they set up a phone interview pretty fast. Got a calendar invite for a 30 min interview, so I figured it might run a bit long and blocked off an hour. During the phone screen, the interviewer went past 30 minutes, but we weren't done and I still had time so I didn't say anything. Once it hit the 1 hour mark, I had to leave for other stuff. There was a big disconnect in expectations and communication between the recruiter, scheduler, and interviewer, and then with me. If you have a phone screen with them, definitely check how much time you have with the scheduler before and then with the interviewer during. All I got after was silence, so I'm assuming it's a no.

They asked me to build a web app to do a certain task, which was a first for a remote interview. When I asked for clarification, the interviewer had me share my screen on Skype and write a web app from the ground up to address a particular issue.
