I first chatted with the recruiter at their main office. It was a relaxed chat where I went over my experience and they asked me about it. They really sold the role and the company to me. I was told right away I'd be moving on to a phone call with the hiring manager. I had that call the next week. It was a really detailed call with super specific questions. They asked for my thoughts on a few things, which I liked. The hiring manager answered all my questions. She was also super into the company and the job. The recruiter got back to me and said I was going to the next step, an in-person interview. That's when I had to back out because of personal stuff. The whole thing was fast and really pleasant. I remembered they didn't have many reviews on Glassdoor when I applied, so I wanted to share my experience. If things had been different, I would have loved to meet the whole team. Their energy on the phone was contagious.

Got a message from a recruiter on a networking site and they set up a phone interview pretty fast. Got a calendar invite for a 30 min interview, so I figured it might run a bit long and blocked off an hour. During the phone screen, the interviewer went past 30 minutes, but we weren't done and I still had time so I didn't say anything. Once it hit the 1 hour mark, I had to leave for other stuff. There was a big disconnect in expectations and communication between the recruiter, scheduler, and interviewer, and then with me. If you have a phone screen with them, definitely check how much time you have with the scheduler before and then with the interviewer during. All I got after was silence, so I'm assuming it's a no.

I had a phone interview first, and then they brought me in for a long interview with over 5 employees. I followed up with the initial interviewer afterward, who didn't recall anything about me. Despite going through three interviews and meeting a lot of the staff, they didn't bother to reply to two messages asking for updates. I get that you can't always give detailed feedback to everyone, but they invited me in and I met them in person. It was really disrespectful to be ignored like that.

I had a phone interview with the QA director. We talked about my basic knowledge of frameworks and how I'd handle dynamic websites. Since they use Ruby for automation with selenium and Watir, I was asked to create a Ruby script using selenium Webdriver for a specific task. I sent the script back to the recruiter to pass on, but I haven't heard back.
