It was like a normal interview, lasted about 30-45 minutes. The store manager, who was very nice, interviewed me. They asked about my experience and reliability.

I applied online on a Wednesday and got a call that Friday afternoon asking if I could come in Monday at 10:30 am. When I came in, we had a brief talk about my past jobs and why I'd want to work at Dollar General. The interviewer seemed a bit dismissive when I mentioned I have kids and we shop there about once or twice a week. She suggested that having kids might interfere with work, potentially causing me to be late or leave early. It seemed like she wasn't very accommodating regarding family responsibilities. I did notice she seemed to be looking to hire people with disabilities, as I saw three more employees with disabilities when I returned the following Wednesday with my kids.
