Manager
I got promoted internally from cashier, to lead key, to assistant manager, and finally to manager. The interview was conducted over the phone. The questions were pretty straightforward because I was already really familiar with DG's policies by then.
- Were you familiar with how to complete the business center reports?
Assistant Manager
It was a pretty chill interview. They gave me a lot of good info about the job. They were really clear about the work hours and the shift I'd probably be working. They were flexible with scheduling the interview too.
- Can you lift up to 50 pounds?
- Do you have any schooling or other job that might conflict with this position?
- Have you ever operated a POS system before?
Assistant Manager
It went very well. The store Manager is an extremely outgoing, friendly person that is very good at her job. She asked all of the relevant questions needed to determine whether I was the right person for the position. I was asked to explain my previous history in the customer service field, my strengths and weaknesses, and what I could do for Dollar General. This was a standard interview process. The interview was conducted by the store manager. She determined if I was a good fit for the position.
