Research Intern
I interviewed for a PhD Research Intern position focused on Multimodal Research for Summer 2025. The process involved two interviewers who listened to my presentation of prior work. There wasn't a coding session. I felt it went okay, but unfortunately, I was rejected. It seemed like they weren't very familiar with my research area, which might be why I didn't get an offer.
- Can you provide technical details about your past projects?
R&D Intern
I submitted an application for an internship. Subsequently, the HR department contacted me to review several internship opportunities. Following that, a recruiter from Dolby reached out to arrange a phone conversation with an R&D engineer. This was followed by a phone screening with a manager, and then another phone screening with HR.
- Which transform is utilized in the MP3 codec?
Research Intern
It was a 3 round interview process. First was a HM interview where they asked project questions. Second was a Python coding and ML basic algorithm (k-means and KNN) test. Third was a tech interview about projects, like the ML design of speech synthesis. They gave an offer call a week later.
- Could you share the biggest challenge you faced in your project?
- What are your thoughts on the main direction for future technological development?
