Market Development Representative
the whole thing felt kinda long winded, with 3 interviews spread out over 5 weeks. it started with a quick phone screen, then a 30 min chat with a sales manager. the last interview was a panel with 2-3 sales managers. i was given a prospecting and cold email task for the last round, but we didn't end up discussing it.
- What makes you interested in sales?
- What makes you a good fit for this role?
- Describe a situation where you encountered an objection and how you managed it.
Market Development Representative
3 Rounds: 2 phone calls and 1 Zoom interview where I had to do an exercise; targeted an email to a prospective client showing how Docusign services and solutions could be used. Recruiters were diligent and kept me updated throughout the process.
- What is your strategy if you don't meet your quota?
Market Development Representative
The interview process went smoothly at first. I was informed there were three positions available and that I was the first candidate in line for consideration. I dedicated significant time to preparation. My application was submitted via a referral. Following the initial phone screening, there was a single interview round. This interview was conducted by two sales managers (a young white woman and a young white man). I haven't encountered interviewers of color before; as someone who is part white, I feel comfortable making that observation. My opportunity to ask questions was cut short during the interview. While some questions challenged me, I also received direct positive feedback on my answers. The outcome was unexpected. I was notified within 24 hours that they were proceeding with other candidates.
- Can you explain how you obtained your achievements?
- What is the reason for your frequent job changes in sales recently?
- What are your aspirations within this company?
