Customer Success Manager
A DocuSign recruiter contacted me about a senior Customer Success role based on my LinkedIn profile. It took over 4 weeks to finally connect with him. He initially asked for my availability urgently, which I provided quickly with much flexibility, but received no response. After more than a week and multiple follow-ups via LinkedIn, he reached out again, asking for my availability with only 2 hours' notice, which I couldn't meet, leading to another delay. After 5+ weeks of frustration, we finally had a call that didn't go well, with some technical issues and a feeling of disinterest from his side. He then asked me to email my profile details and expectations for the role. I did this immediately after the call but never got an acknowledgment. By this point, I had already decided against pursuing opportunities at DocuSign. This was by far the most unprofessional and frustrating interview process I've encountered, possibly due to the recruiter being new to the company. My past experience with his previous employer was much better. Now, every time I use DocuSign, I'm reminded of this very poor experience, which highlights issues with their customer service and recruiting practices.

Customer Success Manager
I went to a recruiting event at the cool SF office and they reached out afterwards for an onsite interview. The first interview was about an hour and was a deep dive into my resume – each role, what the responsibilities were, what I liked and disliked about it, etc. After that, I was invited back for an onsite interview with 4 people: a senior leader in Customer Success, an Account Manager, a Professional Services Manager, and another CSM. Each of those interviews was about 30 minutes long. Everyone was really professional and friendly. You could tell they hire top talent. After good feedback from that round, I met the team lead onsite another time. The team was very communicative and professional overall. It was a great candidate experience.
- Can you describe a situation where you didn't meet a client's expectations and how you rebuilt their trust?
- What are five of your proudest personal accomplishments?
Customer Success Manager
I applied for the job and a recruiter contacted me for a phone screening a couple of weeks later. I quickly gave them my availability, but after a couple of days with no response, I sent another email with my updated availability. The recruiter finally confirmed a time for us to speak several days later. However, when the scheduled interview time arrived, the recruiter didn't call. After about 5-7 minutes, I reached out to see if the time still worked or if they needed to reschedule, but I still heard nothing. A couple more days passed, and I finally got a response from the recruiter asking to reschedule, offering a brief apology. Again, I provided my availability promptly, but received no reply. Several days went by, and I reached out again, but still haven't heard back. This whole experience felt like a waste of my time, and the recruiter was very unprofessional. I'd advise others to check out the reviews on DocuSign's interview process and their recruiters on Glassdoor before applying. After reading other reviews about how they treat applicants, I'd suggest avoiding this company, which is disappointing because I've always liked and supported their product.
