First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Docebo.
Backend Developer
After applying online, a recruiter reached out. The conversation was casual and friendly. First, I had a technical assignment where I needed to code an API endpoint for a simple task. I completed it and it passed. Next, I had a video call with the team. We discussed my technical assignment, focusing on my choices for package versions and configurations. They didn't comment on my code quality, project structure, or any other engineering aspects, which was disappointing. They also asked why I didn't use Docker, even though it wasn't required. Finally, they mentioned considering me for another team needing a more senior engineer and that the process would take about a month. I asked if they could expedite it, but I haven't heard back since.
- Can you explain your reasoning for not incorporating Docker into your assignment?
- What led to your decision to use the default tslint configuration for the assignment?
- Did you find the technical assignment to be challenging?
Backend Engineer
I had a chat with the HR manager, then a take-home quiz that covered a lot of backend stuff (mainly php and mysql), and finally a technical interview with a senior developer and a manager.
- Mi è stato chiesto di implementare un semplice algoritmo per l'ordinamento di un array.
Backend Engineer
The interviewer was nice and friendly, and gave a good explanation of the work and company. The questions were relevant, and I was able to discuss my projects and experience.
- Could you tell me why you applied for this role?
