DKS Associates Interview Questions
& Process

I applied online for the Marketing Coordinator role at DKS. The first step was a call with the Director of Marketing and it went well. Within a week, I got a request for a video interview with the Director of Marketing and a couple Marketing Team members. I had some technical difficulties, but overall the conversation went well. I followed up a couple times and still haven’t heard back a few weeks later. I’m assuming I didn’t get the role. I enjoyed speaking with the team and it seems like a great company. My only feedback for the process would be on recruiter communication. Emails come from an obscure address, causing some messages to go to junk mail, which made me look unprepared when there was a last minute scheduling change I missed. Also, I wish I had received an update after my follow ups.

It was a few phone calls with HR and some engineers, then an in-person interview. They ask typical questions. I was supposed to meet senior engineers but instead had a panel of junior staff who hadn't been there long, some less than a month. It felt unprofessional and chaotic, they talked more about kitchen stuff than work. They asked trivial questions instead of about my experience. Seems like they have staff turnover and issues in some markets.

It starts with a half hour phone call to check your qualifications. They'll ask general questions about your schooling, why you like transportation, and why you're interested in their company. If you pass that, you'll have an in-person interview that's about an hour long. The questions weren't super technical, but they were mostly comprehensive, like 'what would you do if...'. The people were really nice, and if you understood your Transportation engineering classes, it should be a pretty easy interview.

It started with a 30-minute HR screening call. The very next day, I interviewed with the team I'd be joining. I got a verbal offer the day after that interview, and the official offer came a few days later. The entire process was really nice; I liked talking with everyone.
