It was a really interactive and fair process. They asked direct and challenging questions. They really tested my ability to stay calm under pressure. There were several rounds to make sure they fully understood my past work. Knowing SQL and Python is essential for this role.

Technical Coding Case

HR did an initial screening and then set up 2 rounds. Round 1 was purely technical, focusing heavily on SQL and a bit of Python if you were lucky. The interviewer jumped straight into difficult SQL questions, expecting quick answers. Round 2 was with a product manager, covering product sense, KPIs, and mini case studies. That interviewer was great, and I had a pleasant experience.

Technical Coding

Got contacted by a recruiter via phone and they set up the interviews. The whole thing was run smoothly. The recruiter was professional and tried to schedule around my availability. The interviewers were nice and helpful, asking good questions, except for one round where it was all about bookish SQL syntax. But mostly, the interviews were good discussions. They saved the salary talk for after everything else was done. I got an offer that was way less than I expected, only about a 15% raise on my take-home pay! They should've asked about salary expectations upfront to save everyone time. I'd suggest candidates clarify salary before interviews start to save time and effort.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Asked standard SQL questions such as running averages and cumulative counts.
  • Asked questions related to product feature metrics.
