It wasn't a very professional process. They missed my first appointment, and I ended up waiting 40 minutes before they told me I had to reschedule. They did apologize the second time, and the interview itself was pretty friendly. It wasn't very technical, but they seemed to hire people if they were willing to take the risks associated with the job. There were some waiting periods between different parts of the process, so I had to be on top of them with calls and emails. Basically, it was a very straightforward process, and it seemed like not many people get turned down after the background check.

I applied online and got a call 5-6 days later for a laid-back phone interview. Two hours after that, I got a call to set up an in-person interview for the following Friday. Today, that Friday, I had the interview with the installer manager. He was laid back and made it easy. I asked a lot of questions because I'm really interested. The interview lasted 45 mins to an hour, with normal questions. I was truthful. He gave me a tour. I asked how I did, and he said to expect good news in a couple of days. Then comes the physical and drug test. It's looking good. UPDATE: 6/8/2011 I took the drug test, background check, and DMV test and passed them all. It took about a week. Today I got a job offer, class starts Monday 6/13/2011, but I have a physical Friday and need to sign new hire papers. It's looking good for me. 6/9/11 I took my physical test and passed everything. I'm officially an employee of Dish Network. Just remember, for the physical, your blood pressure needs to be in the right range, or you fail. But it was easy. The whole process took less than a month from the phone interview to today. Good luck.

I applied online and then did a couple of online tests that took about 30 minutes. Then I got a call for a phone interview, the person was really nice and helpful. After that, I was contacted for a one-on-one interview at the office, which was straightforward and pleasant. They said they'd email my references if I got the job, and they did, but it's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back from Dish Network. Really hoping to get the position.
