It was a pretty long process for one job, totaling four rounds plus some assessments. They were good communicators throughout, though. The process involved an initial phone screen, a meeting with the hiring manager, then a panel interview, and also three assessments.

A Dish recruiter reached out on LinkedIn. The process included a phone screen with the recruiter, a 75-minute skill test, and then a phone interview with the hiring manager. The initial call and the test went well, but the conversation with the hiring manager was not great. I sensed it wouldn't be a good fit. The interviewer was polite and direct, but seemed rushed and distracted, which made me a bit nervous. I managed to regain my composure and steer the conversation. However, the interviewer still seemed eager to end the call quickly. I feel like I avoided a significant problem; I wouldn't want to work for that person.

First up, a finance team member reached out to chat about my background and skills, which took about 30 minutes. Then, after moving on, they flew me out to Englewood, CO. There, I met with about 4-5 folks from the finance team. Each chat was around 30-45 minutes, covering everything from basic behavioral stuff to some really deep case questions. If you know your financial concepts like NPV, ROI, B/S, IS, CFS, you'll probably be fine with the case questions. Just make sure you're prepped, speak clearly, and seem confident. They also really check out how you handle presenting to groups, so have some public speaking examples ready. FYI, this job and any finance gig at Dish eventually means you'll be presenting to Robert Olson, the CEO. Being able to present to C-level execs is key for a good career here.
