First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Discovery, Inc..
Product Manager Intern
Started with a Hirevue, it had basic questions and asked me about my project experience. Then I had a super day with 3 interviews, each 30 mins long. Two were technical and one was behavioral. The questions were pretty straightforward. The technical ones were like a product case but focused more on my personal project experience.
- Can you share an instance from a project where you faced a challenge and how you navigated through it?
Product Manager
The interview process started with an HR phone call, followed by a hiring manager phone call. Then there was an onsite interview with about 6 people. After the onsite, I haven't received any response, no rejection email or offer letter. Given the timeframe, it probably means I didn't get the job, which is fine, but I wish I had received some notification, like a simple generic rejection email would have been nice.
- Can you describe your past project experiences as a Product Manager?
Product Manager
The hiring manager was a bit late for the first interview and hadn't reviewed my resume. I was upfront about my skill gaps and where they didn't match the role, but they said it wouldn't be an issue. The hiring manager missed the second interview. We had to reschedule, and they weren't even apologetic about it. Ultimately, I didn't get the job because my background wasn't aligned with the role, despite being told earlier that it wouldn't be a problem.
- Were there questions about a homework assignment?
