First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Discovery, Inc..
Marketing
I applied online and heard back from HR in the UK office about two weeks later to schedule a phone interview. After the phone interview, they asked me to create a presentation. Once I submitted it, I was invited for an in-person interview at the Istanbul office. Unfortunately, just a couple of hours before it was supposed to start, they cancelled it via email because the hiring manager had another meeting. I missed the email because I was in the subway. So, I showed up anyway. They rescheduled the interview for another date. During the in-person interview, the HR person was on holiday, so the hiring managers asked the HR questions, which I didn't think went very smoothly. I was ready to present my deck, but they didn't ask for it. They mentioned they liked my presentation ideas so much they'd already started using them, which felt a bit awkward, but they said it was a joke. A week later, I got an email from the UK HR saying they'd chosen another candidate. A week after that, I saw the same job ad again. I requested feedback on my application, especially since I put a lot of work into the presentation, but I still haven't heard back even after almost two months. Overall, it was a negative experience.

HR reached out via email about the job I applied for about 2 weeks ago. Then I had a phone chat, and the next week I went in person for a one-on-one. I met some people from the department and got offered the job 4 days after that. The HR person followed up after the in-person meeting. It was a pretty smooth process.
- What makes you interested in Discovery?
- Could you tell me about your greatest strengths?
Marketing
I sent in my application online and heard back about two weeks later for an automated interview. Then, I didn't hear anything back for two months. After that, I got an email saying I wasn't being considered anymore. The whole thing was automated, and I never actually talked to anyone from the company or had any personal interactions.
