First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Discovery, Inc..
Marketing Intern
It was a pre-recorded interview with about 5-6 questions, and each question had 2 retakes allowed. The questions weren't too hard. You just need to have a basic understanding of the role you're applying for, your past work experience, projects, and interests.
- Tell us about your favorite show and persuade us why we should watch it.
Marketing Intern
I did 2 Hirevue interviews a few weeks ago for the Marketing Internship and haven't heard back from either. The Hirevue interview had 5 very basic questions. Definitely know why you want to work at Discovery and how media plays into your career goals.
- Can you tell us about yourself and explain why you are a good fit for this role?
- Why are you interested in working at Discovery?
- In what ways does media relate to your career aspirations?
Marketing Intern
I had an interview that started right on time. It was pretty brief, only about 4 questions. The interviewer was very direct and didn't show much reaction. They asked: What do we do at Discovery Communications?, Who was your favorite teacher?, What is your favorite brand and why?, and finally, Why Discovery?
- Can you tell me what Discovery Education does?
- Which brand do you like the most and why?
- Who is your favorite teacher and why?
