First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Discovery, Inc..
Intern
The interview process was disorganized and I was ghosted. It was scheduled very last minute and then I never heard back, even after sending a thank you and following up. This has happened to me in a few departments at Discovery.
- Why this field?
Internship
It was a few steps, like a recorded interview and a small coding test. I didn't do the final interview because I got another internship. The recruiters stayed in touch the whole time. While I was still in it, there was no live contact.
- Tell me what you know about our shows.
Discovery Intern
It was a timed set of questions delivered through a website where you record yourself speaking. It felt a bit intimidating at first, but it was actually pretty straightforward, and you could retry if you messed up. Definitely use those retries wisely, and make sure you're well-prepared beforehand! I had an informational sheet and my printed resume handy.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join this company, and could you share your favorite piece of our content?
- Could you tell me why you are interested in working here and which of our content offerings you like the most?
