Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Discount Drug Mart.
Cashier
It was a really quick and easy interview process. They asked me some basic questions about my availability, my previous work experience, and what I could bring to the table to ensure customers didn't have to go through a runaround. This was my first job, and I'd definitely go back if I ever needed to.
- Can you share an instance where you had to make a difficult decision and how you handled it?
Cashier
The interview process was really disorganized. The manager was late and dressed really unprofessional, and they weren't prepared at all. They wouldn't let me finish answering questions and kept leaving the room and coming back, even taking phone calls during the interview. I wouldn't recommend interviewing here.
- What are your available work days?
- What are your available hours?
- Describe your customer service experience.
Cashier
Basically, I need to get paid by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits. Also issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers. Sell tickets and other items to customers. Process merchandise. And keep the checkout area clean and do other cleaning stuff like mopping and trash.
- Do you maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and complete other general cleaning duties, such as mopping floors and emptying trash cans?
