The interview process was fast & thorough. I had a phone screener to start, followed by an on-site with my would be (now is current) supervisor, then with the head of the department, & finally the CEO & a counterpart from the LA office (done via video chat). The people I interacted with were extremely friendly & were truly engaged in our conversation. The recruiter that I dealt with was incredibly fast with email responses (she had sent me emails to set up the next round of interviews before I had even commuted home from the city) & even went out of her way to greet me every time I came to the office. Even an employee that I met in passing remembered me & said hello. I have been through the ringer when it comes to the job interview process & my experience with Direct Agents was a very welcomed experience.

SEO Specialist
I had two interviews with the search marketing team leader and VP. They both asked me a lot about my past experiences and search marketing skills. The whole thing lasted about an hour, and each interview was over twenty minutes.

- Tell me about your previous internship and job experiences in search marketing.

I first had a 30-minute meeting with two HR managers where we talked a lot about my past work, my good and bad points, and where I see my career going. After that, I had an hour-long interview with the Director of Search. They asked me a ton of questions, covering my typical duties, the strategies I employ, and my familiarity with different technologies. I felt like I was a good fit for the role based on the discussion. Then, I met with the Marketing Director. This person seemed disengaged, barely paying attention to my responses and showing no real interest. Their main focus was on whether my background could help with sales. Ultimately, they re-posted the job opening two days later, suggesting I wasn't the right candidate, and it seemed they didn't have other applicants either. Salary wasn't even a factor since they never inquired about it.
