Informal 5hr interview, went well or so I thought. Team lead nor the recruiter didn't bother following up to let me know whether or not I was getting an offer. Normally this isn't a huge deal to me, but when it's half a work day you can at least tell me no.

The interview process involved three stages over the course of a month. It began with a phone screen, followed by a virtual interview, and culminated in a super day at the Austin HQ. This super day consisted of six rounds of interviews, a lunch with the hiring manager, and took place after the first two rounds had been completed.

The hiring process is quite lengthy, involving numerous one-on-one interviews with various team members. Many of these interviews tend to cover the same ground, suggesting potential for consolidation. While the team members were very pleasant, approachable, and happy to answer any queries, a notable omission was the lack of clarity regarding office presence requirements for the London office. This detail was only provided by the recruiter after I specifically inquired, and it turns out there's no flexibility, with a mandatory minimum of three days per week in the office. Given this rather traditional approach to work, I decided to withdraw my application. Ultimately, the recruiter cancelled the fifth interview because the role wasn't the right fit for me, which is quite disappointing.
