So the interview was like, first I talked to HR, then I had a final round with four people from the team. It was all about behavior and seeing if I'd fit in, like checking how I communicate and work with others.

The interview questions weren't too difficult, but you need to be ready to share specific salary details about your current job and any other offers you might have. As the recruitment team put it, 'we can't move forward with your application if you don't share your detailed salary number.' It seems like they might be gathering data during interviews, though I'm unsure if asking for such private information is legal in my country.

My interview process started with an intro from a friend to a director, which led to a phone interview. Then, Dimensional Fund Advisors flew me out for a Super Day at their Austin HQ, and I got an offer. DFA really values hiring the right type of person who aligns with their investment philosophy, so if you don't believe in passive investing and efficient markets, this might not be the place for you.

  • Describe a situation where a team member wasn't contributing their fair share. How did you address it?
