Strategy
I started with a recruiter chat, and then got to move on to the next step in Chicago. After that, I had three quick behavioral chats with two strategy analysts and the department heads. They asked some fair questions, and then at the end of my last interview, I got a case to work on that wasn't too hard.
- Estimate the number of light bulbs in Chicago.
Strategy Director
I had several questions, mostly behavioral and about my background. They asked about my favorite brands, cases, and campaigns. I was also asked to outline a strategy for XYZ as if I were the brand manager and explain how I'd approach campaign development.
- Could you explain your motivation for pursuing this position?
- Which brands do you admire the most?
- Can you share some cases that you found particularly interesting?
Strategy Analyst
It started with a recruiter phone call. Then, I had two phone interviews with my direct manager. After that, I went in for a 1:1 with behavioral questions. I interviewed with about 4 people from different departments. It took over 3 weeks to hear back, and I had to email the recruiter three times for an update.
- How would you go about launching a new product?
- Does an agency-like environment suit your working style?
