Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Digitas.
Intern
I submitted my portfolio and a video talking about why I'm a 'unicorn'. Then I had an interview. It was really nice, and they mostly asked why I want to do marketing and work at an ad agency. I applied for a copywriter role, but they thought I'd be better for an art directing internship, so it was pretty chill and conversational. They said I was one of the top two candidates but went with someone else.
- What interests you in pursuing a career in advertising?
Intern
I had a 20-minute phone interview where we discussed the internship program and its structure. Afterward, I was invited back for four in-person interviews, each lasting 30 minutes. These were standard interviews focusing on questions about my resume and the company. While the interviews felt repetitive, the interviewers were all very friendly and pleasant to interact with.
- Can you share an instance where you motivated students during community service?
Intern
I applied online and got a response really quickly, within a few days. Then, I was asked to do an online interview. Basically, there were four questions, and I had to answer them while recording myself on my computer. The website recorded my answers. I had about a minute to record each question. I didn't talk to anyone in person during this part.
- Suppose you were an app; which app would you choose to be?
