First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Digital.ai.
Data Scientist Intern
It was pretty straightforward. Mostly basic stats and Pandas questions, with some challenging SQL thrown in. They cared more about what you could do technically than what you knew theoretically. The last part was about walking through a project you did, from the very beginning to the very end.
- Can you explain how to create a pivot table using pandas?
- Describe a project you have completed, from inception to completion.
Director
I applied online and had a 45-minute video call with a recruiter. I didn't have much time for questions. I asked about negative employee reviews, but the recruiter didn't offer any information. It's been a few weeks since the interview, and I haven't heard back, so I feel ghosted. It's unprofessional. Maybe I'll get a rejection email eventually, or maybe not.

Sales Enablement Trainer
So, the interview process went like this: First, a recruiter screen on Zoom. Then, I chatted with the hiring manager on Zoom. After that, it was a Zoom call with the VP of Sales. Lastly, I had a Zoom interview with the CRO. The recruiter was great initially. The hiring manager was nice, and the VP of Sales was also good. The CRO, though, came off as pretty rude. He asked about stuff not even listed in the job description and seemed to think I wasn't qualified because I didn't have some specific experience he was looking for, like he hadn't even read the job description or my resume. They also skipped doing a presentation or training session, which is pretty typical and would've helped clear up any doubts about my experience and skills. After all four Zoom interviews, they just sent over a generic rejection email.
- Can you share a project that you feel particularly proud of?
Customer Success Manager
I'm gonna describe the entire procedure so people can make their own minds up and judge if that is the right way to treat an individual who is interested in joining their organisation. I applied online on September 20th, 2023, and had my first interview with an internal recruiter on September 25th, and it took 30 minutes, so far so good. The second interview was on October 4th, 2023, with the hiring manager for 1 hour and again so far so good. The third interview was with the counterpart of the hiring manager based in the US for 30 minutes on October 5th, not sure why this was needed. The fourth interview was on October 6th for 1 hour with two CSMs, I think this could have been replaced by a presentation where the entire customer success team is present and can see how you interact with the customer in a mock presentation. The fifth interview was on October 10th with a Senior Sales Director for 30 minutes, I understand that. The 6th interview was on October 24th with the Chief Customer Officer (US) and took around 30 minutes, here's where it gets awkward as I have never seen that a CCO is interviewing CSMs. The 7th interview was on October 31st and once again with the Chief Customer Officer as we could not finish the first interview and it took again around 30 minutes. The 8th interview was on November 29th with the VP/GM, international and took 30 minutes. 29 days later an interview with a VP/GM who tells me that she sees an issue that I am not based in Germany? So they don't discuss those requirements upfront? This morning, December 7th, 1 am UK time, I got a standard email from the recruiter saying how grateful they are that I applied and took the time to interview with them but they won't process my application any further. I'm not disappointed that I didn't get the position but that it took far too long and I was confronted with an unusually high amount of interviews asking basically the same questions. On top of that, I would have expected to get at least a phone call with some explanation after all the time I invested. I guess everything happens for a reason but you don't need to behave this way to people who are showing interest in joining your organization. For me, this was more or less dragging me along until they found the right candidate, which is poor if true. The interviews were fine, so no complaints, but their entire process is not the standard anyone would and should expect. The entire process took from September 20th to December 7th, which is 78 days or 11 weeks and 1 day, with an email in the end saying they won't process any further. My advice is to urgently look into your hiring process and show more compassion towards your candidates as nobody wants to get dragged along for that amount of time. Basically, from October 31st to November 29th, nothing happened, just waiting and asking for feedback, and that's just not good enough. Also, the recruiter could have been much more proactive with her communication and not wait for candidates to ask for feedback. It doesn't take long to write an email or, better yet, call and explain why there's a delay.
