Behavioral Presentation

So basically, the interviewer told a story about hiring a 25-year-old, mentioning they usually don't hire that young, which was a bit funny since I was 22. They said I wouldn't get an offer because the store was just opening and they didn't want to over-hire, even though they're still hiring there almost a year later. They explained the pay is a draw against commission. You get a base pay plus commission, but the base is also part of your commission. You train for three months without selling, still getting the base pay. Once you start selling, you don't get commission until you've earned back what you were paid during training. If you don't sell enough to cover your pay, you have to write a check at the end of the year, though they said that's never happened.

I've interviewed with Diamond's Direct twice now, and I'm really unhappy with how it went. The first time, the recruiter call went well, and I was supposed to move forward, but then they never contacted me again. The second time around, I again passed the recruiter interview. I told her about my past experience and how disappointed I was, and she promised it wouldn't happen again. Then I interviewed with the store manager, who seemed to like me and wanted to schedule another chat. I haven't heard from him since.

Behavioral Presentation

Diamonds Direct is a very professional company. The hiring manager greeted me well and attended to me right from the start. Both the hiring manager and the person who interviewed me were very responsive to my questions and concerns.
