In Mumbai, there were 3 interviews, lasting 30 minutes, 40 minutes, and 5 minutes respectively. It was a pathetic process, just a waste of time. They seem to select the candidate based on the resume before the interview and then look for reasons to reject others.

This was for experienced candidates. On-campus recruiting is similar. First, there was an initial phone screen with a recruiter where we talked about my interest in the firm and my background, it lasted about 30 minutes. Second, a phone interview with a manager, where we discussed my background and experience, also around 30 minutes. Third, a 3-part in-office interview that included a detailed case presentation (they emailed the info the night before), a behavioral interview, and the case presented orally. Overall the experience was enjoyable. The people I spoke with throughout the process were fantastic and they made the favorable.

So, the interview process had three main parts. First, a phone interview with HR. It was pretty standard, just asking questions off a list to see why I wanted to join the firm and to get to know my background a bit better. Second, a phone interview with a Manager. They called this the Airport Test. It was about digging deeper into my background and seeing if I'd be someone they'd want to be stuck at the airport with. During this call, they also told me which industry focus I was being considered for and asked me questions related to that. Third, there were in-person interviews, which had three sub-parts. A. A behavioral interview with a Manager, which was pretty standard. He gave me mini-scenarios to see how I'd react and rated me on certain traits. B. A situational interview, which was basically a standard case interview you'd get at other big consulting firms, with a Principal. C. A case interview. I got a business case 48 hours beforehand to review. Then, on the morning of the interview, I was given a page-long case question. I had to prepare a 3-7 slide presentation in an hour, which I then presented to a Principal.
