I applied online and was contacted by HR within two days for a phone interview. This interview was skill-focused, with the interviewer asking me to go over my resume and then drilling down into relevant areas. Surprisingly, she also discussed compensation, asking for details about my current package and providing information on their benefits, mentioning they could offer a better package. The hiring manager then requested a face-to-face interview the next day. This interview with the hiring manager and his manager was similar, involving a review of my resume and deep dives into job-specific areas. I was told when to expect a response and heard back within that timeframe. Although I expected an offer, the initial HR contact informed me they were proceeding with an internal candidate. She provided feedback from the managers, noting that my answer to 'Why are you leaving your current company?' wasn't strong enough, and advised preparing a diplomatic answer for future interviews. She also mentioned I'd be kept in consideration for future openings.

Behavioral Case

I applied online and first had a phone interview. It was pretty basic, mostly about my personality and why I wanted to work at Diageo. No actual finance questions, seemed more like a check to see if I'd be a good fit. After that, I got invited to their New York office for a second part. This involved three one-on-one interviews back-to-back with three different financial analysts. The first one included some behavioral questions and a small case study about the alcohol industry. The other two interviews were mainly behavioral. The HR team was really professional, made sure I was comfortable during my visit to NY, and kept in touch as they said they would.

Behavioral Other

After submitting your application, you'll first complete a personality test, followed by a video interview. The entire process is quite rushed, so be concise with your responses. Towards the end, there were some competency-based questions where you had to imagine yourself in a typical work scenario and explain how you'd handle it. I ran out of time on the last one while explaining my thought process, which likely contributed to not moving forward.
