Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DHL.
Jovem Aprendiz
We (candidates) stayed in a room until the scheduled time, then the person in charge of the process took us to another room to fill out a form (name, education, what you expect to do at the company, etc.). When we all finished our forms, we sat in a circle where everyone talked about themselves (summary of their life, why they want to work there, etc.). At the end, they asked if we knew how to use the Office Suite and we were let go.
- Tell us a little about yourself.
- Why do you want to work with us?
- Do you have a good command of the Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)?
Intern
There were two online interviews. Both involved recorded answers to questions about handling challenges, the differences between solo and team work, and some simple logistics.
- Can you share an instance where you led a project and discuss the results?
- How do you manage challenges when they arise?
- What's your experience like when working independently compared to working with a team?
Intern
After submitting my online application, I received an invitation for an interview within a week. The conversation was quite relaxed. My interviewers were very friendly and didn't conduct it like a typical interview but more like a mutual get-to-know-each-other session. It was a positive discussion with an indirect confirmation. The offer arrived 10 days later via email, followed by the commencement of the hiring process.
- Tell me about your personal background and career path.
- What made you interested in this area?
- Can you confirm your standard technical knowledge from university?
