First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DHL.
Associate Trainee
My interview at DHL IT Services was pretty well put together and gave me a good sense of what they're looking for. It was a mix of technical stuff, questions about systems, and behavioral things to see how I handle different situations. They asked me about important topics like databases, servers, cloud computing, operating systems, JavaScript, and how projects are built. We also talked about my schoolwork and projects. The interviewers were nice and let me take my time explaining things. They seemed keen to know how quickly I can learn, how I work with others, and my strategy for dealing with tough situations. Some questions were pretty deep and needed a solid grasp of the concepts, which made it a bit tough, but honestly, it was a good way to see where I need to grow. All in all, it was a valuable experience to get a feel for what the industry expects and what I can work on to get better.
- Could you describe different server types and share your insights on data processing and security measures?
- Can you elaborate on data processing and security in relation to server types?
Associate Trainee
So, the interview process for this role involved a few steps. First, there was an HR interview where they asked a lot of common questions, but focused heavily on topics like workplace conflicts and what I see myself doing in the future. Then, they also inquired about the projects listed on my resume and my technical expertise in web development. I believe there was also a background check.
- Can you explain how you would construct a logistics application and detail the product tracking mechanisms within it?
Senior Associate
We interviewed over Microsoft Teams, so a stable WiFi connection is important. Using earphones is also recommended. There were three interviewers, and they were all very nice and friendly, not too aggressive. They asked typical interview questions like your strengths and weaknesses, and how you'd manage in stressful situations. The whole interview lasted about 30 minutes.
- How would you handle an angry client?
