Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DHG.
Consultant
The interview process involved three interviewers who inquired about my past experience and asked open-ended questions to gauge my suitability for the team. The atmosphere was relaxed, and all interviewers were friendly, with no challenging or trick questions.
- Could you walk me through your resume and previous work history?
- Describe your experience and how you would be a good fit for the team.

Had a chat with a recruiter who was in a different city, then spoke with the manager on the phone. After that, went in for an interview at the office. So that was two calls and one in-person meeting. Honestly, it wasn't the best interview experience I've had. The recruiting process didn't seem to offer the typical DHG client service to candidates. It felt like they weren't really looking to hire, maybe just interviewing to keep their talent pipeline full. They even call you to let you know if you didn't get the job.
- Can you elaborate on your client service skills and experience?
- How do you approach building and utilizing your professional network?
Senior Consultant
The interview process was pretty laid-back, with a few short chats. Mostly, they talked about their own past work, and they mostly hired ex-bankers. They're really tight-lipped about who their clients are and what the job really entails. There's a lot of flexibility in the starting salary, but they'll try to lock you into the lowest amount you'll accept, so it's smart to add at least $5,000 to your initial figure. Since DHG has high turnover, aim to get as many certifications as possible in your first year, then start looking for a competitor that offers better pay.
- Can you tell me about your past experiences?
- What certifications do you currently hold or plan to pursue?
- What are your thoughts on interacting directly with clients?
