First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DFW International Airport.
Project Coordinator
The interview process involved technical and scenario-based questions across 2 to 3 rounds. While not overly difficult, the interviews were dependent on the hiring manager's assessment. The selection process could take up to a month, as they carefully evaluate candidates.
- Can you elaborate on your technical experience relevant to this position?
- Please share an example of a project challenge you encountered and how you addressed it.
- What steps would you take if a project began to miss its deadlines?
Workers Compensation and Leave Analyst
I had an in-person interview with two people who are in the role I applied for. It was an hour long, and at the end, one of them mentioned they didn't see a few of the skills they advertised for. I'm not sure why they even asked me to interview. They told me to go home and read the job description.
- Did you review the job description?
IT Manager
I submitted my resume and then got an email for a phone interview with the recruiter. After that, I went in for an interview with the hiring manager, followed by a panel interview. The recruiter was super unprofessional, not calling when he said he would and not following up. Scheduling the in-person interviews was really last minute, basically 'take it or leave it' with no flexibility for me being employed. After the panel, I heard nothing. When I emailed for a follow-up, he said feedback was pending from someone out of office. Then, another week passed, I left a message, and he never called back. I saw the job was removed today, so I guess it's filled. They made me jump through hoops, told me things were looking good, and then ghosted me! I had already decided not to move forward, but this whole experience was just unprofessional and I wanted to warn others.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Using the STAR method, can you describe a challenging situation you've faced?
- How do you approach being on call 24/7, including while on vacation?
Data Processing Specialist
This interview is basically a behavior analysis of your life. You'll face a panel who will be looking at a paper, ticking off specific words you say. They won't make eye contact because they're too busy looking for those words. It's hard to tell if they're really listening or if they missed something. You'll be asked a question and have a set amount of time, like X minutes, to answer. If you finish early, you just wait. If you're still talking when time's up, they'll cut you off. You can only ask them to repeat the question, and they won't clarify anything or ask you to expand. So, if you were kind of on the right track but didn't use the exact 'magic words,' I don't think they can truly assess your behavior.
- Describe a situation where you had conflict with a coworker or manager.
