The first interview was a phone call with the head of HR, and it was pretty straightforward. The second interview was in person at their office with two department heads. It was very technical for a junior position. The amount of knowledge they were looking for would typically require a senior person, which didn't align with the salary offered.

So, the interview process at Dexters involves three interviews. First, there's a casual chat with a recruiter to understand more about you and what you're looking for. Then, you'll head to the office for two more interviews with directors. They'll dive deeper into the role and ask you questions to get to know you better. It was a good experience overall, and everyone was friendly and made me feel comfortable.

This was the worst interview experience ever, held in a windowless, unventilated basement. The director spent most of the time asking why I was leaving my previous job and why I had given notice, rather than focusing on my skills or why I applied. For an hour and a half, they shared personal opinions on life and choices unrelated to the job. They also made comments like you're never allowed to be sick and that they could 'take care of you' if you had a cold. They even expressed a wish for my former company to go out of business. Their unprofessional conduct and attitude made me decide against working for them.

  • Regarding your resignation, why did you give notice if you haven't secured another position yet?
