Marketing
First up is a Recruiter Screen, usually 15–30 mins, where they'll check your basic qualifications, what you're looking to earn, and if you're keen on the agency. Then there's a Role-Specific Assessment, like a skill-based test. Lastly, we get into Behavioral & Competency Interviews.
- Can you tell me what you know about our company?
Account Executive
The interview process was pretty straightforward. They primarily asked you about your experience and how you would best handle certain situations, but all were common if you had experience in the field. The interviewers were really great!
- Why did you want to join DeVries Global?
Marketing Public Relations Intern
The interview process was less stressful and intimidating than I had initially expected. There were two interviewers and both seemed rather fair, objective and kind. We had a casual chat about where I was studying and why I applied for this internship. It was a pretty brief and natural conversation. Next we moved on to the writing test which consisted of two components. A little challenging if it is your first time applying for a marketing/public relations role but just be confident and do your best. It was my first time applying for a role in this field and my first time attempting a writing test of this sort but I had a lot of fun doing it and even enjoyed the whole writing process! I received the internship offer and it was an amazing and fruitful experience.
- What led you to apply for this internship?
Intern
Two DeVries employees visited my school to review resumes and help with interview skills. They were both women, one from PR and one from HR. It was pretty laid back, and they mentioned I should apply for an internship once I have more experience. They didn't have many questions, leading to some awkward pauses.
- What draws you to the field of Public Relations?
