Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DevRev.
Applied AI Engineer
The interview process at DevRev was great. There were 4 rounds in total. The first round was of medium difficulty and included 2 coding questions and one SQL query. Candidates who passed this stage moved on to the next rounds: the second round was the first technical interview, the third round was the second technical interview, and the last round was the cultural fitment round. The interviewers were awesome, calm, and very knowledgeable. The questions covered a range of difficulties from easy to difficult and touched on all technical topics like DSA, development, core subjects, etc.
- Do you prefer working alone or with a team, and what's your reasoning?
Applied AI Engineer
This was an on-campus opportunity and the whole thing took about 3-4 weeks. The interview process had 4 rounds: Online Assessment, Technical Round 1, Technical Round 2, and a Cultural Fit Round. It was pretty smooth but challenging. They really wanted to see how I thought about problems. The online assessment had 2 DSA and 1 SQL question, and they were pretty easy to medium difficulty. All the interviews started with introductions to help everyone relax. The interviewers were nice and made me feel comfortable. The first technical round covered SQL, DBMS, and computer networks, then we did 3 DSA questions. It lasted about an hour. The second technical round was tougher, with questions about APIs and then 2 medium-to-hard DSA questions. The final round was non-technical, focused on how I'd handle situations and on the company's values and culture.
- How would you deal with disagreements with your team members?
- Do you prefer working in a team or by yourself?
Applied AI Engineer
Applied through the company website and the whole process took about 2 to 3 weeks. Started with a CodeSignal assessment which had 2 coding questions. Then, I had two technical interviews. The first one focused on basic Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and discussed my resume. The second technical interview involved working with APIs and more complex DSA problems. Finally, there was an HR discussion.
- Could you implement a fetch operation for an API endpoint and then display the fetched content in a specific text format?
