It was a 2 round interview process. The first round was a phone call, and the second round was a video call with the development team. It wasn't too stressful or hard. Everyone was really friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the interview.

I found the posting for Dev initially through LinkedIn. After researching the company, I was impressed with the supportive and diversity inclusive company culture statement on their website and applied directly to them. A recruiter, Arianna, reached out to me, went over the role and answered any initial questions I had. Since this is a remote role and I do not live in VA (HQ), I was curious on how widespread the company was. I like being involved and it was great knowing that Dev has remote employees throughout the country and strive to include everyone in company initiatives and activities. I moved onto the next step, which was the interview. I met with a panel of developers and the project manager. After a series of tech and coding questions directly related to the role, I was given the opportunity to ask team oriented questions and everyone was very responsive. I received the offer a few days later. Overall, this was the best interview process I have experienced. Each person I interacted with was responsive, honest and approachable.

The interview process was really great for me. I value honesty, good info sharing, and clear progression in interviews. Dev really delivered on all these. I talked to a few interviewers and they were all really knowledgeable about the company and the specific role I was applying for. They made sure all my questions got answered and helped me feel comfortable throughout. They got back to me super fast with any questions I had. A major plus for Dev was their honesty about the security onboarding process. Many places say it's quick and give you unrealistic timelines, but Dev was upfront and said that getting a clearance can take a while depending on many different factors.

It's a bit of a lengthy process for an entry-level role, but it makes sense since it's basically screening you for paid training. Having some prior coding or programming experience would be helpful before you apply. Also, keep in mind that you're restricted to the partnerships they set up for you.
