Technical Behavioral Other

First, there was an online assessment with standard numerical, logical, and situational judgement/personality questions. Then, a job simulation required video responses to prompts specific to the division, plus other activities like a written exercise. Finally, an in-person assessment centre day had 3 interviews with team members of different seniority levels. HR was very organized, and despite a bit of a strange schedule with 50 minutes between interviews, it was pretty stress-free. Got the offer 2 days after the AC, which was awesome.

Behavioral Technical Coding Presentation

First, they screened my CV and cover letter, which took about 1-2 weeks. Then there was a phone interview where they briefly checked my CV, about 2-3 times. After that, I had an online test with basic math or brain teasers. This was followed by a behavioral and video interview (recordings). They mentioned the next stage would open up once I passed each test. Finally, there was an online interview that lasted about an hour with 2 interviewers. They asked technical questions about my CV or background knowledge and it was demanding.

Confirmed questions4 questions

  • Do you know the proper Sharpe ratio for real investing?

Other

I got invited to a test. The test had 18 scenarios where participants had to rate two out of three answers as most effective and least effective. While most scenarios were understandable, it was noticeable that the given answers sometimes suggested solutions that were illegal or morally questionable. Some options were clearly unethical. So far so good... After receiving feedback on my performance, highlighting strengths and weaknesses, I found it hard to discern a consistent pattern in the ratings. For example, it was unclear whether the focus was on making an independent decision or passing problems immediately to a supervisor without attempting a solution. Should one act immorally and 'wrongly'? E.g.: send data privately or bother the manager with every little thing? I'm really confused?! If there were clear indications of the values or decision criteria that Deutsche Bank prioritizes, participants could align their answers accordingly. However, in the absence of such indicators, the process felt more like guessing what the company values. Based on my observations, traits like honesty and independence were not particularly highlighted. In retrospect, this lack of clarity on the overall purpose and design of the assessment left me confused.
