Analyst
So the interview process here was pretty disorganized and a letdown. Before we even started, there was a ton of admin stuff to do, like forms and stamping. Then came a bunch of interviews with panels and HR, but nobody really coordinated them or told me what was going on. It was chaotic. They did end up giving me an offer, but then, like a week before I was supposed to start, they just pulled it back. They said it was because of the background check, mentioning my credit score, even though it's just regular student loans. They didn't really explain anything clearly. It felt really unprofessional and like they didn't care about my time or plans. Taking back an offer so late is a big sign of disrespect. No apology, no taking responsibility, and no real ending.
- Mostly standard behavioral questions were asked.
- Some situational questions came up.
- There were also some technical questions.
Analyst
The first step was a mix of general technical questions and how to structure a pitch or equity story. They asked if I had experience with consumer deals. I had to talk through a process and a company. There were also exercises to find trading comparables for a past deal.
- What would be your approach to structuring the equity story for a consumer-focused company?
- Could you share your experience working on deals within the consumer sector?
- Please describe your process and the relevant company.
Summer Analyst
After finishing the application, I sent in a cover letter. Then I did some assessments and a video interview where they asked me why I wanted to work there. At the assessment centre, I had to do a case study and then present my findings. After that, I had a technical interview with one person, and then a competency interview with someone else. They said my technical skills were great, but my answers to the competency questions weren't as detailed as other people's.
- Could you define what an option is?
- Can you explain why options are priced higher than futures?
