Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Deutsche Börse Group.
Quality Manager
The interviewer was really nice and the whole process went smoothly. I first introduced myself, then the interviewer asked me why I was interested in this job and threw in some technical questions. Finally, they explained the job duties to me.
- What motivated your application for a role that deviates from your academic background?
- Could you explain your reasons for applying to this particular position, especially given its divergence from your academic major?
- Why did you choose to apply for a job that isn't a direct match for your degree?
Risk Manager
This was a weird, antisocial, and a little bit disrespectful interview process. The interviewer threw tantrums at me like I am dealing with a high schooler. Avoid this place.
- Can you explain Var, CVar, etc. types of questions?
Risk Manager
So the whole thing was like a three-parter. First up was this hour-long Skype chat with the Head of Unit. Then there was this second technical interview, the one where I had to actually present two technical topics. And then, to wrap it up, they had me do two interviews on the same day, one with HR and then another with the Head of Section.
- Walk me through your CV and what motivates you.
- What would you say are your main weaknesses and strengths?
- How do you see your career progressing in the future?
