I interviewed at DEP on Sep 2nd 2023 in Ashok Nagar, Chennai. Around 250 Mech Engg grads from 2022-23 batch attended. The interview process was split into 3 batches across different floors, but only 2-3 coordinators were there. The interview had 25 MCQs total: 10 on General Aptitude (Time and Work, Ratio, Number Series, etc.) and 15 on Technical topics (SOM, Thermodynamics, Finite Element, etc.). I didn't pass the first round and didn't get to the F2F technical round.

I met with them during Career Fair. They had asked me to contact them when I am ready for the Summer Internship. The interview was simple and mostly involved a detailed overview about myself, including my qualifications, interests, skill sets, and future goals. I spoke to them for about an hour, where I was asked to describe all these things. Then, they asked me about school projects and the experiences I gained from them. Overall, everything went well. I was asked to come and meet them in person after 7 days and was told I got in on the same day. My advice: if you know how to communicate well, this isn't a hard task at all. If you are good with Matlab and are a keen learner, I think you'll be in.

Found out about the walk-in through LinkedIn. On the day of the walk-in, there were about 100 attendees. The first round was a written test covering aptitude and technical topics in the same paper. Shortlisted candidates moved to a group discussion, and then again shortlisted. This all happened in one day, with a lot of waiting. If shortlisted, you'd be called for a tougher technical round covering core subjects in depth, followed by an HR round to discuss the package.
