Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Deskera.
Software Engineer
First, they check your resume, and if it passes, you'll get an interview. The interview itself is about an hour long.
- Can you discuss your previous projects and work history?
- What's your experience with Angular?
- What's your experience with Golang?
Software Engineer
The interview process involves a written round with aptitude, logical reasoning, JAVA MCQs, and 5 programming questions on arrays and strings. If you pass the written test, you'll proceed to a first F2F round where the interviewer asks questions about your written programs and requests explanations. Clearing the first round leads to a second F2F round with a panel of 2-3 interviewers who will ask about CoreJava (Collections, Multithreading), Spring (Core, MVC), Spring Boot, Web Technologies, SQL Queries, Build Tools, and Project Architecture. Following that, a senior VP level person conducts a managerial cum technical round where you'll be given a problem statement and asked to write code in front of them. Finally, if you get through all these stages, the HR discussion is just a formality. The whole process was quite long, but it was managed and conducted well.
- Can you explain the different Spring Bean scopes?
- How do you configure Spring Beans using XML?
- How do you configure Spring Beans using annotations?
Software Engineer
I applied on-campus. First, there was an online aptitude test with 25 easy questions, and the cutoff was 20. Then, a technical round where we had to write 5 lengthy and difficult array-based programs on sheets, needing at least 3 correct. They only selected based on the technical round; no separate interview was conducted.
- Write programs based on arrays with given complexity conditions.
