First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Desjardins.
Project Manager
It was a quick process, I got a reply the day after the interview. Standard interview questions were asked. They described the expectations, I presented my current role, and we talked about salary expectations. We also discussed why I want to choose Desjardins and why I'm looking to change jobs.
- Why are you seeking a new job?
Project Manager
The interviews are typically conducted with two interviewers in a casual setting, and in French. The focus is on your ability to collaborate within a diverse team and motivate members during challenging projects. There are many situational questions, and it can be difficult to gauge if your answers are correct. It might be unsettling that the actual interview focus differs from the job description.
- What steps would you take if your team experienced yet another failed deployment?
IT Project Manager
Applied on the Desjardins Web site. Got company info, culture etc. from friends and acquaintances who worked at Desjardins or knew someone who worked there. Two interviews, the first one with HR Managers and stakeholders, then IQ, personality and language tests, background tests (criminal & credit). Job offer within 5 days. Mature hiring process.
- Very technical questions in the IT field concerning IT systems development.
