Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Desjardins.
Communication Advisor
First, a phone call. Then, a Teams interview where I had to do a task on a communication campaign example. The conversation was friendly, but it took time to prepare for the interview. Follow-up exchanges.
- A technical question about communication and analysis.
Insurance Advisor
The interview process was awful. They sent a link for an online interview. They were late, spoke like robots, and emphasized the negative aspects of the job so much that it made me question their turnover rate.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Describe a time you dealt with a difficult customer.
Senior Advisor
A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. After a quick chat, I was invited for an in-person interview. There were two rounds: first HR and a manager talked about my career path and motivation, then a manager and a senior employee conducted a technical interview. After that, I had a behavioral test on a computer. The whole thing was super quick, they really wanted to hire someone.
- Tell me about your career path.
- What motivates you to apply for this position?
- There were technical questions related to a take-home test.
