Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Desjardins.
Functional Analyst
The interview was relaxed, they made me feel comfortable. No difficult questions, just a chat about everything and nothing. My interviewer talked more about Desjardins than asked me questions. The only downside is: when they don't choose you, they don't tell you. You can try to follow up, but they don't answer, which I don't think is normal.
- Tell me about yourself and your past experiences?
Business Systems Analyst
I went to a Job Fair and gave my resume to the committee. After that, I had an initial chat with an HR recruiter who cleared me for the next step. Then, I was interviewed by an operations manager. The very next day, I had a Skype interview with my potential direct supervisor. A few days after that, HR called with a job offer.
- How would you handle challenging individuals?
- Why do you think you are a strong candidate for this position?
Business Analyst
Had a first chat with HR and the manager, which was really chill. Then we dove into a technical chat about my past projects. Lastly, there was an online test with Java and Spring multiple-choice questions, which wasn't too tough.
- What are the different scopes for Spring Beans?
- Can you explain or implement the Fibonacci sequence?
- Tell me about Java Exceptions.
