Case Manager
I put in my application at the end of Jan. First was an online application with a situational judgement test and then 4 competencies: making effective decisions, leadership, developing self and others, and managing a quality service. About a week after I applied, I got an email saying my application was moving forward to the interview stage. I got scores of 5 and 5 on the first two competencies that were part of the online application sift. About two weeks later, my interview was scheduled for Feb 7th, and I had to book my slot online. The interview itself included a mix of strength-based and behaviour-based questions. For example, a strength-based question was: "tell me something you did recently which you are proud of." The behaviour questions focused on the 4 competencies. The strength and behaviour questions were alternated, and there were 4 of each. The interviewers were really nice and made me feel comfortable throughout. There were 2 interviewers on the panel. I scored 4, 5, 5, and 5 on the interview questions. 5 days after the interview, I received an email saying I was on the reserve list for 3 months. 10 days after that email, I got another email with a conditional offer. My background checks were finished on March 9th, and I got a final offer on March 17th, which I accepted. My start date is April 20th.
- Can you share an example of something you recently accomplished that you are proud of?
Case Manager
The whole process took forever, like months. Everything was over the phone and video call and if the connection wasn't good it took even longer. I did feel totally at ease though.
- Tell me about your experience.
Case Manager
Submitted an online application with a supporting statement. The role prioritizes managing a quality service and working at pace. Received an email for an interview. The interview was conducted by two people. Interview questions focused on managing a quality service, making effective decisions, and influencing others. My future manager and colleagues seemed welcoming and friendly. My advice for candidates is to prepare specific examples for the aforementioned areas.
- What makes you want to apply for this position?
- Can you provide an example of how you managed a quality service?
- Could you share an instance where you made effective decisions?
