First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at dentsumcgarrybowen.
Account Supervisor
Had three people interview me separately over a 1.5hr period. Out of the three staff, only one was truly engaged with my experience and questions. The last employee didn't even ask me questions, I had to prompt HER about HER job (wtf?) like she'd already made up her mind in the first 10 seconds of meeting me. The third person asked me mundane HR questions that didn't provide them to find out anything about me as a person. A lot of questions about internal conflict as well which to be honest, wasn't a great indicator on the agency culture.
- Tell me about a time you experienced internal conflict and how you handled it from an account service viewpoint.
Account Manager
Do your homework before you go on company history, client roster, current news/media coverage, and you'll be fine. Have an interest in advertising. Show a positive personality. Research some recent ad campaigns you love, or hate, and prepare to show-off your opinion(thoughts) at the interview. Ask yourself why do you want to work there, what can you do for them.
- Could you tell me about yourself?
- Why do you think you would be a good fit for us?
Account Supervisor
Interviewed with a few client teams across multiple rounds. Unfortunately, all the opportunities fell through at the very last moment because they couldn't get the funding. It took ages to find this out, and I had to chase them for updates constantly. It's a good place to interview if you don't want to be treated like a person.
