First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dennis Group.
Mechanical Engineer
Campus recruitment happened, my resume went to HR. HR contacted me next day for my transcript. After almost two months, I was called for an interview at Springfield. The interview was an hour long and split into two 30-min parts: first with HR, second with two senior Mechanical Engineering team members. They kept asking about travel requirements in both interviews. Four weeks later, I got a generic rejection email. They also took a long time to reply to follow-up emails. They really take their time to reject you, so if you're waiting on them, it's a good idea to keep looking for other opportunities.
- Can you walk me through your projects?
- What would your professors say about you?
- Discuss your experience in group projects, highlighting challenges encountered and alternative approaches you might consider.
Mechanical Design Engineer
The interview process took over a month and a half, involving nine different upper management positions. Each person explained the role differently, and there was inconsistency with company policies. They never got back to me when they said they would; I had to call a dozen times to get any response. It felt like a lot of effort for a position that wasn't really worth having.
- What do you expect to gain from the Dennis Group, and what contributions can you make to the Dennis Group?
Mechanical Engineer
The interview process was pretty laid-back, and the interviewers were really open about their thoughts. I had conversations with people at my level, the team lead, and the managers. It was a long afternoon.
- Could you walk me through your experience?
- What are your thoughts on these technical challenges?
- How do you see yourself fitting into our team's culture?
