It was an extensive selection process. The interview with the managers was conducted in English and included managers from abroad. They asked a lot about my engineering technical background and how I would handle extended periods of travel accompanying construction sites.

The entire trainee selection process is quite complete and intense, but since it was all online, there were many internet connection problems, which made the interview process difficult. I couldn't download necessary files for the selection process, and sometimes the audio didn't work either.

I found the company through university recruiting at a job fair. They called me to schedule an on-site interview. I drove 3.5 hours to their Atlanta site for the interview, which lasted from about 10 am to 2 pm. I didn't get the schedule beforehand. I had around 8 one-on-one interviews throughout the day, with a 1-hour break for lunch with an employee. They said I'd get reimbursed for my drive via check in the mail, but I never got it. I turned down the offer because the salary was too low compared to average salaries in Atlanta for similar jobs. They also required 25-30% travel time with no overtime pay.

Campus recruitment happened, my resume went to HR. HR contacted me next day for my transcript. After almost two months, I was called for an interview at Springfield. The interview was an hour long and split into two 30-min parts: first with HR, second with two senior Mechanical Engineering team members. They kept asking about travel requirements in both interviews. Four weeks later, I got a generic rejection email. They also took a long time to reply to follow-up emails. They really take their time to reject you, so if you're waiting on them, it's a good idea to keep looking for other opportunities.
