I was referred and set up a video call with my potential boss. It was a get-to-know-you chat, and we touched on what they're looking for. It went for about an hour, and they said they'd follow up in two weeks, which they did. Overall, it was a really good experience.

The interview experience was really bad and unprofessional. They didn't ask any HR questions in the first interview and seemed uninterested in learning anything about me. The engineering director was incredibly rude and dismissive the whole time. Even though I wasn't told it would be a technical interview, I was asked a data structures and algorithms question. I did my best, but they kept patronizing me for not finding a faster solution than O(n). The interview wrapped up quickly, thankfully, and they said they needed candidates more familiar with DSA, which wasn't even in the job description. Seriously, avoid this company if that engineering director is involved in the interview.

The company reached out to me on LinkedIn. They mentioned they cannot sponsor H1B visas and are looking for a long-term partner who can work in the USA for over a year without needing sponsorship, so I was rejected. The person who contacted me was polite and nice, and I have a good impression of Demiurge Studios.

I was emailed about a week after applying and we set up a phone interview for later that week. The interview itself was about an hour, and the interviewer was really nice and talked a lot about the company. They said they'd get back to me in about a week, but it's been almost two months and I still haven't heard anything, not even a rejection.
